    HOW TO USE

Use before, during, and after exercise to satisfy the body’s electrolyte requirements with maximum precision.

Use as needed, but primarily when:
    1. Exercise lasts for more than two hours, regardless of temperature or humidity.
    2. Exercise lasts less than two hours and:
    • Temperature is above 80 degrees and/or 70% humidity or
    • Temperature and humidity is ten degrees or more above what you are accustomed to.
    Mixing Instructions
    • Starting at an hourly dose of 1/2 tablet per 50-60 pounds of body weight, add Endurolytes Fizz tablets to your water or fuel bottle(s), allow to dissolve completely, and consume as needed to maintain proper hydration and electrolyte levels.
    • Each rapidly dissolving effervescent tablet contains the equivalent dosage of approximately two Endurolytes capsules.

    Important Notes:
    • Many variables - body weight, fitness level, weather conditions, acclimatization level, and physiological predisposition - affect individual electrolyte requirements, so you must do your own trials with Endurolytes Fizz dosing, under a variety of conditions, to determine what your individual needs are.
    • Endurolytes Fizz DOES NOT prevent heat stroke, hyponatremia, or any other dangerous physical condition resulting from overexertion in the heat.At 10 calories per tablet, Endurolytes Fizz is not a significant source of calories.
    • The amount of salt (sodium chloride) you habitually consume in your daily diet largely determines the amount of salt you will need to consume during exercise and races. If you consume a high-salt diet, you will need to increase your hourly dose of Endurolytes Fizz above our starting point recommendation.

    Ingredient Breakdown
    • Sodium Bicarbonate: A well absorbed source of sodium, selected for its high dissolution rate. Bicarbonates are also used to aid digestion and help alleviate stomach distress issues.
    • Calcium Chloride: Easily dissolvable source of both calcium and chloride.
    • Calcium Carbonate: Chelated to carbonate (a salt of carbonic acid), calcium carbonate is a source of easily dissolvable calcium.
    • Magnesium Oxide: A rich source of easily dissolvable magnesium.
    • Potassium Bicarbonate: A colourless, odourless compound selected for its high dissolution rate. Bicarbonates are also used to aid digestion and help alleviate stomach distress issues
    • Natural Caffeine: COLA flavour only, derived from green tea extract.
    • Manganese: This trace mineral is necessary for optimal muscle cell enzyme reactions and for the conversion of fatty acids and protein into energy.
    • Vitamin B-6: This water-soluble vitamin plays an active role in maintaining sodium-potassium balance. It also supports the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and protein.
    • Citric Acid: Used in the minimal amounts needed to aid in the reaction process that creates carbon dioxide, the gas which gives effervescence to the product.Sorbitol – A natural calorie-free sweetener.
    • Stevia: A natural, calorie-free sweeter derived from the leaves of Stevia rebaudiana, a plant native to Central and South America. It does not affect blood sugar levels or contribute to tooth decay like sugar does.
    • Avocado Oil: A healthy oil used as a tablet-pressing lubricant.
    • Monk Fruit: A natural, calorie-free sweetener that does not affect insulin production. The sweetness from monk fruit is not due to natural sugars like most fruits, but instead from its naturally occurring antioxidants called mogrosides.

    FAQ

Q: How many tablets can you take daily? I'm going on a 120km bicycle ride and I don't know if I can take 2 or 3 water bottles with a tablet on each one. The ride will be around 4 hours
A: For a ride like that Hammer Nutrition probably recommends putting multiple tablets in one bottle, and then doing the same at a water stop later in the ride. Keep Hammering out there!

Q: Is this product safe to use when pregnant?
A: As no one at Hammer Nutrition are medical professionals, and also because Hammer Nutrition does not know your medical history, you will ALWAYS want to discuss the use of any supplement or fuel with your doctor prior to using it. That said, the minerals in Endurolytes Fizz should not be problematic for use during pregnancy. The stevia component appears to be acceptable for consumption... according to http://americanpregnancy.org/pregnancy-health/artificial-sweeteners-and-pregnancy/ "The FDA deems Stevia as safe during pregnancy; it has been give the GRAS (generally recognized as safe) rating by the FDA." From the same website, in discussing the sorbitol component in Endurolytes Fizz: "Non-nutritive Sweeteners are added in very small amounts to foods for a significant sweetening effect and have been approved for use in dietetic or reduced calorie foods and beverages. Research is limited on the safety of the use of non-nutritive sweeteners during pregnancy." The monk fruit extract that is used in Endurolytes Fizz is generally regarded as safe to consume during pregnancy. Again, though, before you consume Endurolytes Fizz or any other supplement or fuel, please get the approval of your doctor first.

Q: Can you chew the Fizz tablets? or are they specifically designed to be dissolved in water?
A: Though the primary way to use Endurolytes Fizz is to dissolve the tablets in water, a few athletes have chewed the tablets with no issues, aside from a fair amount of foaming in their mouth.

Q: Can fizz cola be mixed with Perpetuem? Would love to get calories and electrolytes in one bottle.
A: You may most certainly add Endurolytes Fizz to your bottle(s) of Perpetuem. You may end up with some interesting flavor combinations (e.g. Cola Fizz + Orange-Vanilla Perpetuem), but it is perfectly acceptable to combine both products.

Q: Can Endurolytes Fizz be made then put in the refrigerator for later consumption?
A: Yes, this practice is acceptable, though Hammer Nutrition suggests consuming it within a 24-36 hour period due to possible (key word "possible") loss of potency with the mineral component. Additionally, after "X" amount of time, the effervescence will be gone... the drink will taste flat.

Q: Could you please advise how many tablets are recommended per litre of water ? The package says 1-2 tablets per "bottle of water", but it is unclear how much volume is assumed per bottle?
A: Hammer Nutrition generally recommends--at least as a starting point--one-half (1/2) tablet of Endurolytes Fizz for every 50-60 lbs. of body weight hourly. They also suggest a fluid intake of 16-28 ounces hourly. These suggested amounts will help determine how much you need!

    Q: What's the carb count
A: All flavours of Endurolytes Fizz, with the exception of Cola, have less than 1 gram of carbohydrates in each tablet. The Cola flavor has 2 grams of carbs in each tablet.
Q: Electrolyte Fizz: the ingredient manganese - is this necessary for a hydration/electrolyte product? Just thinking its not needed for the purpose of the Fizz. Is manganese one of the four electrolytes?
A: Manganese is not an "official" electrolyte, but it is included in all of the Endurolytes products, including Endurolytes Fizz, as it is necessary in trace amounts for optimal muscle cell enzyme reactions for the conversion of fatty acids and protein into energy. Since fatty acids and protein are an important, even crucial part of the endurance athlete’s fuel supply, the importance of manganese is hard to overstate. Research also shows that manganese deficiency plays a key role in blood sugar fluctuation, free radical build up from intense exercise, and nerve function disorders, especially in older athletes. Some have questioned the amount of this trace mineral that is included in the Endurolytes products, suggesting that it is too high. The truth is that, when orally dosed, only 3-5% of manganese is absorbed into the body... it's one of the poorest-absorbed of all minerals. With the Optimum Daily Intake (ODI) set, as per Dr. Nancy Lieberman, at 15 mg to 50 mg per day, and taking into account that ingested manganese is "used up" during exercise (both for energy-production purposes and antioxidant support), Hammer Nutrition are convinced that the amounts of manganese included in the Endurolytes products to be completely appropriate.

Q:  Is there any caffeine in Endurolytes Fizz?
A: All of the current flavours of Endurolytes Fizz - Lemon-Lime, Mango, Grape, and Grapefruit - do not contain any caffeine. The new flavour of Endurolytes Fizz-Cola contains 20 mg of caffeine per tablet.

Q: Can this be mixed with Heed?
A: Yes, you can absolutely drop Endurolytes Fizz tablets into your bottle(s) of HEED or other Hammer Nutrition fuels. Please keep in mind that you may be inventing some interesting flavours, however! For example, if you add the Grape flavour of Endurolytes Fizz in Lemon Lime HEED, you will end up with a drink that has a mix of both flavours. The combination of these two products won't affect the effectiveness of either product, but it will most likely have a unique taste.

Q: Is this product ok for children use? If not what is the appropriate age?
A: Yes, Endurolytes Fizz is quite acceptable for use by children. While most young athletes will be able to fulfill their electrolytic mineral needs from our sports drink HEED, which is both a calorie source and electrolyte source, the use of Endurolytes Fizz during hotter-weather events is certainly acceptable. With their low-sodium, full-spectrum electrolyte formulas, Endurolytes Fizz is a far better choice than salt-saturated sports drinks or salt tablets. One scoop of HEED provides 100 calories and the equivalent of 1/2 tablet of Endurolytes Fizz, which is usually quite sufficient for younger athletes. However, when the weather is super hot, additional electrolyte support may be necessary. For that, we suggest 1/2 Endurolytes Fizz per 50 pounds of body weight.
